I just uploaded an image from YouTube of the title of this discussion, and it's already flagged for copyright issues. Is there something I did wrong? Please let me know soon.

Jibblesnark86, on YouTube there are two types of license: Standard (cannot be hosted here) and Creative Commons (can be hosted here). The latter one is explicitly given on the YouTube page. --Achim55 (talk) 20:53, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

You cannot choose the license of a given YouTube video (except you loaded it up to YouTube yourself). You can just select a YouTube video that was given a CC license by the uploader. --Achim55 (talk) 20:59, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

Let's take an example: File:Hyperboloid Print.ogv is sourced https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1213kMys6e8 where a Creative Commos license can be seen. So it meets our requirements. The video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjqGvZv5sXE is lacking such a license note. --Achim55 (talk) 21:14, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

Request to Remove Our Domain from Spam List

Hi Achim55,

My name is Richard, and I represent Fujn Company. Our technical team recently discovered that our domain fujn-com was listed on a spam black list. We would like to clarify that we have no pages or activity on Wikipedia, nor do we write or edit there.

It appears that several edits were made using our domain, likely as part of a coordinated attempt by a competitor to damage our reputation. We kindly ask for your assistance in reviewing this matter and removing our domain from Wikipedia and any related lists.

Fujn maintains a strong reputation in our field, and this issue was brought to our attention by a team member who noticed it by coincidence. We are currently investigating the source of these actions. As a reputable company, we do not engage in, support, or benefit from such behavior.

Labs-MSII, Commons' admins cannot remove that entry as it is kept in the global (= for all WikiMedia wikis) blacklist. A workaround is framing the link by <nowiki> tags as https://fujn.com/. However, this way the link is not clickable. Requests for removal from our global spamblacklist have to go to m:Talk:Spam blacklist. They likely won't remove the entry as https://spamcheck.toolforge.org/by-domain?q=fujn.com doesn't provide confidence. Thank you for your quick and helpful response. I appreciate the clarification regarding the global spam blacklist and the suggestion about using the <nowiki> tags.

To confirm, Fujn has never hired or authorized any SEO service to promote our domain through Wikipedia or related projects. It appears that someone may have misused our domain without our knowledge, possibly with the intent to damage our reputation.

We will follow your advice and contact the team at m:Talk:Spam blacklist to request a review of the case.
